Airis Tripod Cartridge Vaporizer by Airistech

We have been testing out the Airis Tripod triple cartridge vaporizer for quite some time now. The Tripod is one of the latest products from Airistech along the Airis Janus.

The similarities between these two Airis products is that they both offer multiple functionalities. The Janus can do both 510 threaded oil carts as well as JUUL style oil pods.

The Airis Tripod, on the other hand, has the one 510 thread, but it comes with 3 different cartridge options. An oil cartridge for CBD oil, another one for thicker THC oil and a cart for vaporizing concentrates.

Cartridges the Tripod comes with

The main difference between the CBD and THC carts seems to be the size of the holes. The THC specific cartridge has bigger holes to the heating element, allowing for more oil flow.

The Airis W wax cartridge utilizes Airistech’s patented Qcell technology. It is the same style atomizer that you find in devices such as the Airis Quaser, Q-Tip, and the Headbanger vaporizer.

The Design of the Airis Tripod Vaporizer

Airistech designed the Tripod to be very discreet. For example, the mouthpiece covers the cartridge and unlikely to attract unwanted attention.

As a result, the downside is that you are limited to the use of 0.5 ml or 0.3 ml cartridges in order for your mouthpiece to fit. Having said that, you can still use larger carts, but you won’t be able to put the mouthpiece on.

If you have a 0.3 or 0.5 ml cartridge filled with oil already, that you’d like to use, you can simply swap the mouthpiece to the Airis one. As you can see below, we have a CCell TH2 cart with a wooden mouthpiece.

There is a single button on the side to operate the tripod and the mico USB charging port is placed on the opposite side.

How to Use the Airis Tripod vaporizer

We suggest putting the battery on the charger before the first use. This helps to condition the battery and make sure it performs optimally over time.  The LED light above the power button will glow red while the battery is charging.

Airis battery on the charger

While your battery is on the charger, prepare your oil or concentrate to vaporize. The Tripod comes with 2 different refillable carts and a Qcell wax atomizer.

Vaporizing CBD or THC Oils

If you are vaporizing CBD or THC oil, pick the corresponding cart and screw the top part off. Fill in your oil using an oil syringe and screw the top part back on. Let the oil sit for a few minutes and screw the 510 thread into the Tripod clockwise.

Press the power button five times in a row and you are ready to go. Put the plastic lid back on and press the power button and inhale.

Vaporizing Concentrates

On the other hand, if you are vaping concentrates, you’ll need to screw in the Qcell atomizer into the 510 thread. Take the top of the cart off and use it as a dabbing tool.

Subsequently, add a small rice grain sized dab to the dabbing tool in the top and put it back on the cart.

You don’t have to try to get your wax on the quartz surface, all you have to do is put the top back on the cart. Your concentrate is going to melt on the quartz surface and get vaporized. Simply press the power button and inhale through the mouthpiece.

If your wax requires preheating, press the button twice in a row. The LED will change colors from green to purple to blue and then to red while it is preheating. In addition, once the preheating process is done the LED goes off.

The Airis Tripod battery has 3 variable voltages. You can toggle between them by pressing the power button 3 times in a row.

Firstly, the green LED indicates 3.4 Volts, blue is 3.7 Volts and red is 4.2 Volts.

Our Final Thoughts on the Airis Tripod Vaporizer

In conclusion, the Airis Tripod is an easy to use 510 threaded vaporizer. The 650 mAh battery gives you the power to vaporize thick oils and concentrates. The performance of the Tripod is quite similar to the Airis Tick.

The big upside with the Tripod is the Airis W Qcell atomizer. As a result, you only need this one vaporizer to be able to vape CBD and THC oils, as well as cannabis concentrates on the go.

To be able to keep the mouthpiece on, you are limited to max 0.5 ml carts and have to swap the top on third party cartridges.
