Vessel Compass 510 Threaded Vaporizer Review

In this post, we are reviewing the Vessel Compass 510 threaded oil cartridge battery.

The Compass vape by Vessel is the new kid amongst high end 510 oil cart vaporizers. We’ve tested many prominent batteries in this category, so we started our testing with quite high expectations. Vaporizers such as the CCell Palm and Silo, PCKT One Plus, Yocan Uni Pro, and others really raised the bar in recent years.

Can the Compass stand out in this crowded marketplace? Let’s find out.

The design of the Vessel Compass Vape

One way to make a statement in the 510 threaded vaporizer market is the design. In fact, Vessel has done just that with its Compass vaporizer.

Without a doubt, the Compass is a beautifully designed device. As opposed to what you find with some of the lower-priced batteries, Vessel designed the Compass to the finest details.

One huge button on the front, an 11mm oil cart opening on the top right, and a USB charging port on the bottom. All this in an ergonomically designed around a 550 mAh battery that fits nicely and comfortably into your palm.

The Compass is designed without a magnetic 510 threaded connection, so you have to screw in your oil carts into the vaporizer. Not a dealbreaker, however, make sure you don’t overtighten your cart.

Also worth mentioning are the variable voltage options. You have 3 voltages to choose from, which is effectively your temperature setting.

Low – 2.8V
Medium – 3.2V
High – 3.6V

How to use the Compass battery

Using these 510 threaded vapes is really easy. Simply screw in a 510- threaded oil cart into the vaporizer.

Next, press the large power button 5 times in a row to turn the battery on.

Once it is turned on, it is time to set your desired voltage. Generally speaking, the ticker your oil is, the higher voltage you need to vaporize it. Press the power button three times in a row to toggle between the 3 voltage settings.

Finally, press the power button and inhale through your cartridge.  Simple as that.

Final thoughts

We really enjoyed using the Compass vape and the vapor produced. As I say at the end of every battery review, the quality of the cartridge is very important as well. Overall the Compass is a great battery that seems to be very well built.

At this price point, I would love to see a magnetic 510 adapter and that is my only constructive feedback.

If you’d like to grab your own Vessel Compass vaporizer, you can do so here.

I have been vaporizing herbs for many years and working for VapeFuse in Australia and Europe. I try every vaporizer and fortunate enough to have this as part of my job. I feel like I am living the dream. I love to hear from other vapers, so always feel free to comment on my posts. Keep on vaping.

  1. I love the compact design, only issue I have is if you do accidentally over tighten good luck getting your cart out without breaking it. Other than that great device.
