CBD (cannabidiol) has gained incredible popularity over the last few years. It is helping a huge number of people with a wide variety of conditions and as a result, CBD is booming all around the world.
Just like with most cannabis products, vaporizers provide a common application method for CBD as well. Vaporization is said to be a more effective and quicker application method than taking it orally.
Vaporizer kits specifically designed and marketed for CBD application are hitting the market and in this article, we check out a simple kit, called the CBD Chief.
CBD can be easily vaporized in oil or wax form. CBD wax products can be vaporized with a portable wax vape like the Linx Blaze, while CBD oil can be turned to vapor with 510 thread oil cartridge vaporizers or pod systems.
The CBD Chief kit is a pod-based system where you can fill up the supplied pods with your CBD oil.
This pod style was popularized by JUUL as they are quite simple to use. You need a little screwdriver or a similar object to gently loosen up the side clips on the pods and then remove the rubber seal. Then you can fill your oil into the pod and seal it back with the rubber seal before you click the top back on.
Your tincture or CBD oil does not vaporize directly though, you have to mix it with a carrier. We have tried many carriers (also called liquidizes) like Shatter Batter and MCT and while they all work, MCT oils might be the cleanest option.
What’s Included in the CBD Chief CBD Starter Kit?
The kit includes the battery, 2 pod tanks (0.5ml), 1 USB charging cable, and a User’s Manual.
The battery is a 500mAh unit with a variable voltage output. It is recommended to put the battery on the charger before you use it for the first time.
Once you turned the vaporizer on (by pressing the button 5 times in a sequence), you can toggle between the voltages of 3.2, 3.6 and 3.9 by pressing the button 3 times in a row.
The voltage is induced by the LED light around the button. Red color means 3.2v, green is 3.6v and blue is the maximum of 3.9v.
