The Z 510 Thread Oil Concealer Battery by Mig Vapor was previously called the Zigi.
Many vaporizer companies make 510 thread vapes these days to service the growing 510 thread oil cartridge market in the legal states in the US.
Canada is just about to allow these oil cartridges to be consumed as well at the time of writing this post. The 510 thread oil cartridge vaporizing space is only going to get bigger.
The Design of the Z 510 Thread Oil Concealer
The Z is packed in a small box with a colorful slide on sleeve.
The device itself is really tiny, very similar size to the Hippie Nano Plus.
It is only 50mm high, 32mm wide and 17mm deep, making it super discreet and pocketable.
Despite the small size, the Z has a battery capacity of 450mAh and 3 available voltage settings (3.3v, 3.6v, and 4v).
The Z is designed as a single button operation and doesn’t have an auto-inhale function.
What is in the Box of the Z 510 Thread Vape
In the box, you’ll find the Z battery, a micro USB charging cable, and a user manual.
Oil cartridge is not supplied with the kit, you’ll have to source your own. If you are filling your own cartridges, make sure you source high-quality ones, such as the CCell TH2 cartridges.
In 510 thread vaping the quality of the oil cartridges are actually just as important as the battery itself.
How to Use the Z 510 Thread Oil Cartridge Concealer
Using these small 510 thread vapes is usually pretty easy. It is recommended you put the Z on the charger before the first use to condition the battery.
It charges via the supplied USB cable.
Once the battery is full, the LED goes off and you are ready to add your cartridge.
The Z doesn’t have a magnetic adapter, but you have to screw the oil cartridge into the device. Once you’ve done that, you can turn the Z vaporizer on by pressing the button 5 times in a sequence.
From here you can either preheat your oil or vaporize instantly.
Preheat function
If you have a ticker consistency oil that is bearly liquid or even solid at room temperature, you might have to use the preheat function.
To activate the preheat function, simply press the button twice in a sequence. The LED in the button starts flashing red and blue while the device is heating for 15 seconds.
Once the 15 seconds is over and preheating is done, the LED stops flashing and you can take your draw at this point. For the next 10 seconds, the Z keeps the cartridge heated and allows you to draw vapor. After the 10 seconds, you have to preheat again and start the cycle over.
Instant vaporizing
If you have a light liquid oil you most likely don’t need to preheat your cartridge. First, you have to set the voltage by pressing the button 3 times in a row.
As you are toggling through the 3 available voltages, the LED in the button will indicate where you are up to.
Flashing red means 3.3v, flashing red and blue means 3.6v and blue is 4v. This is a little different to most devices as usually the red color indicates the hottest temperature, but no big deal.
After you set your voltage, you just simply press the button and hold it while you are drawing.
The battery can be switched off any time by pressing the button 5 times. It also has an auto shut off function after 30 minutes of inactivity to preserve battery.
Conclusion
The Z 510 thread oil cartridge concealer performed well during our testing and we found it easy to use. The preheating function produced nice thick vapor clouds for us even when used it with very tick totally solid oil.
The built quality is not the same as the CCell batteries, however, it did get the job done.
I personally like the auto inhale function and missed it on the Z, however, I know many of you prefer manual operation with a button, so it may not be a problem for you.
Overall it is a good functional little oil concealer and at this price point, you can’t really go wrong.
