VapCap Review: Which DynaVap is For You?

The DynaVap line of torch-heated portable vapes are the best-bang-for-your-buck vaporizers you’ll ever be likely to come across.

After months of research VapeFuse Australia finally copped the Californian-designed vaporizers about a month ago and we’ve been having a field day breaking them down for you guys.

One of the main reasons these devices are so unique is that they require no power source to vaporize your herbs. Instead, they operate in a similar way to the Iolite Original Portable Vape, which atomizes the dry herbs inside by heating the chamber with a small butane burner.

While there is no question that the DynaVap line of portables are great value, the price difference between models causes some confusion, so we at VapeFuse Australia decided to break down two of the most popular models on the market.

We copped the DynaVap “M” 2018 Version and the NonaVong-S portable vapes to test out and got them both in stock. Both devices perform phenomenally well, but there are a few subtle differences that set them apart.

Read on as I conduct the VapCap Review and help you find out which DynaVap is right for you!

DynaVap "M" 2018

DynaVap “M” 2018 Version

Starting with the more affordable of the two, pictured above is the manufacturer’s entry-level model: the DynaVap “M”.

Pictured is the updated 2018 “M” that features a more user-friendly design than the 2017 version.

These updates include a rounded mouthpiece for 10mm water pipe compatibility and a new perforated steel finish around the middle for turning-ease.

The 2018 “M” is an awesome vape for a number of reasons. It is easy to load, easy to light, and it doesn’t use very much herb.

A chamber of ground herb uses between 0.1 and 0.2 grams depending on the density of the herb and fineness of the grinder you’re using.

If you’re looking for a grinder that will create a perfectly consistent chop every time, check out the GrindeROO 4-Piece Metal Herb Grinder. It’s the best in the game.

For best results with the DynaVap “M” 2018 version, pack the ground herbs into the tube and pack lightly up to the opening. This will ensure for a consistent stream of vapor.

DynaVap "M" 2018

To get the ball rolling and ultimately get your DynaVap game on point is a single-flame butane torch and some kind of stash container for transporting the vape.

Pictured above right is the plastic DynaVap-branded tube that comes with every model. Next to the tube is the DynaStash, which features a magnet on the front for removing the metal VapCap between sessions.

I highly recommend using a single-flame butane torch to heat your vape’s chamber. Anything bigger is going to char the herb within and not deliver an even baking experience.

All in all, the DynaVap “M” 2018 Edition is a stellar performer. The vape blows beautifully tasty clouds of sweet vapor, which is super dense and more impressive than devices that are three times the price.

Whether you’re a vaping novice or a herb connoisseur, the 2018 “M” is going to be a winner.

DynaVap NonaVong-S

DynaVap NonaVong-S

Certainly the more upmarket of the two, the DynaVap NonaVong-S, is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.

It’s named aptly so due to its 9-sided nonagon shape. Aside from making the device resistant to rolling off the table, it also makes it the perfect size for compatibility with a 14mm water pipe!

With both light and dark wood finishes, the NonaVong-S has a style to fit every preference. The device’s wooden mouthpiece imparts subtle woody notes on the vapor path and results in an amazing flavor.

The NovaVong-S looks as at home in a vape lounge as it would in your dad’s shed! That’s the nature of the DynaVap line of portables though, like any good tool, they are completely customizable depending on the job you’re doing.

If you’re more of a fan of the body of the DynaVap “M” 2018 but want to equip it with a titanium head, you can simply buy a singular titanium tip and chuck it on the end of your “M” vaporizer!

The Tips & VapCaps

The major performance difference between the 2018 “M” and the NonaVong-S stems from the vaping tip. This tip is basically just the chamber, and the OmniVong’s tip is actually constructed from ultra-durable titanium!

This definitely gives it an edge over the 2018 “M” vaporizer which features a stainless steel cap. While stainless steel is completely safe to have in a vape, the titanium is way better at retaining heat, meaning you’re gonna get a lot more of a consistent vaping experience with the NonaVong-S.

At first, I thought the NonaVong was the clear winner due to the water pipe adapter, but after playing around with the “M” I did, in fact, discover that you could also chuck it into the end of a 10mm female rig.

This is a little less impressive than the 14mm body of the NonaVong-S though, as 10mm joint sizes are usually restricted to dab rigs like my one above, and that’s not really a residual flavour you’d want in your rig.

Whether you enjoy your vapor straight or through a water pipe, there is something for everyone in the extensive DynaVap line of portable vapes.

The beauty of the whole customizable experience is that if you somehow aren’t able to find a device that you completely love, you can simply construct your own!

If you’re not totally sold on the DynaVap range yet, you can check out both the DynaVap “M” 2018 Edition and the NoanVong-S in the VapeFuse online store!
