5 Things to Consider When You Go to Buy Your First Vape

Vaping is a wildly popular alternative to traditional smoking methods. It involves the vaporization of the product rather than the incineration of it.

Because of the relative benefits of vaping over smoking and the high degree of customization possible, many Americans use them. Vapers have a plethora of options to consider when they are looking to purchase a new vaporizer. Here are five of them.

Where Was the Vaping Device Produced?

Arguably the first question that a vaper should ask is: where is this product made? China, as with many consumer products, supplies much of the US demand for vaping pens.

Unfortunately, as is also frequently true of Chinese products, many of these foreign-produced vaping devices are sub-par. Others may contain potentially harmful chemicals.

Consider US or European-produced vaping products instead, depending on where you are. In addition to supporting the local economies, many of these also last longer and function better than the ones produced in foreign factories.

The Reputation of the Manufacturer

Because vaping is a booming industry, naturally many new companies have joined in on the action. There is a significant difference between a vaping company that has been producing high-quality products for several years and a startup with questionable sourcing of their products.

Make sure you buy from a company you trust. If you don’t know much about the company, check out the reviews they have online.

The Amount of Maintenance Involved

Some vape pens require more maintenance than others. For example, you may be interested in purchasing a more expensive vape with parts that need to be replaced over time.

Of these refillable types of pens, some are durable and high-quality while the lasting power and quality of others is more questionable. When you shell out more money for a refillable pen, you gamble that your investment will pay dividends over time.

A disposable vape pen is an alternative to costly vaping pens. They are significantly more affordable than refillable pens and can be discarded after use. You can keep a 200mg disposable vape pen and simply replace it when it’s done, no finicky maintenance necessary.

The Portability Factor

Consumers should also consider how they will use their vaping device. Will it be used primarily in the home, or do you plan to take it with you on the road, to work, or the bar?

If you expect to use it while out and about, you might want to consider a smaller, more portable device.

Vaping Isn’t Legal in All Places

Many new vape users mistakenly believe that vaping is allowed in public areas where smoking cigarettes is not, such as restaurants, stores, or office buildings. In fact, vaping is increasingly regulated in the same way as cigarettes.

Vaping can be a great alternative to smoking. You’ll have a better experience with your new vape when you consider these factors before buying.

  1. Thanks for pointing out that vaping can be prohibited in certain areas. I’d like to start shopping for vape supplies because I think trying it out can help me relax when I’m feeling tense. I only ever smoked once or twice back in college so it’s better to find an alternative to that as a form of stress relief.
