Meet The Lotus Vape: a manual vape with amazing flavor and a super user-friendly interface from Mendocino County in California.
This stylish little number is sort of like a cross between a VaporGenie and a DynaVap, both of which are world-renowned for their tremendous terp extraction.
If you’re in the market for a top-quality herbal vaporizer that doesn’t require a battery or charging cable to operate, The Lotus Vape is going to be right up your alley.
The Lotus Vape
Aptly named after the six-petaled flower that adorns the front of its vapor cap, The Lotus Vaporizer is handcrafted in the USA and is a vape for the true connoisseur.
While the basic kit includes the aluminum alloy stem that you see above, the team at Lotus Vape offer a number of other vaping solutions that can improve the flavor and output.
In place of a box, you’ll receive this cool pencil case style carry pouch with your Lotus Vape that can hold the device, your herb, as well as a bunch of accessories.
Designed like a traditional smoking pipe, the aluminum alloy stem features an affixed bowl constructed from stainless steel that has an embedded stainless steel screen.
Your vapor cap, also fitted with a screen, has six individual air holes that work in unison with the heating plate to generate a phenomenal full-convection vapor.
All of the parts shown above are able to be replaced at some stage as Lotus Vape stock individual part replacements for every facet of their device. These pieces are all very heavy-duty though, manual vapes are far easier to maintain than most digital vapes.
While The Lotus Vape is primarily meant for dry herb use, with the optional stainless steel liquid pad you can experiment with liquids and concentrates as well.
The Dual Stem Kit
If you are looking to get the most out of your Lotus Vaporizer, it’s definitely worth your while to invest in the dual stem kit, which includes both the aluminum alloy and an extended glass stem.
With the dual stem
This water pipe adapter slots directly into the 14mm joint of the included glass stem, but it is also sold separately in The Lotus Vape store.
So if you have purchased the basic kit and are looking to try out vaping through a water pipe you can score it separately too.
The J-Hook by Grav Labs
If you are a true flavor chaser and vaporizer connoisseur you can’t go without this Lotus Vape and J-Hook in your collection. It is true class.
When it comes to vapor quality the two major factors that are usually considered are density and flavor.
While The Lotus Vape lacks the density of say, a Storz & Bickel Crafty, the flavor is so phenomenal that it more than makes up for it, especially when using the Grav Labs J-Hook!
Aside from cooling the vapor down monumentally, the J-Hook enhances the flavor of the vapor and gives you an accurate impression of the herbs true flavor. A
When it comes to actually lighting your bowl, the single-flame jet lighter that comes equipped with the dual-stem it is pure class. It appears to be a high-end cigar lighter and is the perfect fit for the aesthetics alone.
If you’re prone to consuming your herb through a bong or similar aqua bubbler, The Lotus Vape is going to change the way you look at sparking a bowl.
With its included 14mm water pipe adapter you can enjoy the cooling power of the water and the comfort of your favorite piece without having to mess around with combusting your herb.
Lighting Your Bowl
To get started with your Lotus Vape you’re going to want to adjust the length of the interior flame so that it’s the same length as the distance between two of the flower petals on the vapor cap.
If you’re new to manual vaping and have never even considered putting a flame to your prized vaporizer don’t fret – you’re not alone!
Torching your vape to get the perfect output can be tricky and takes patience, but the rewards are beyond plentiful.
If you’re heating the bowl up from room-temp you’re going to want to hold the lighter vertically over the flower, lightly brushing the center with the end of your outer flame. Do this for three to four seconds before starting to draw.
When you put your lips to the stem you’re going to want to forget everything you know about pipe smoking. Take a long, very slow draw, as the slower you draw the denser the vapor you’ll get.
One thing that’s awesome about The Lotus Vape is that it has a stainless steel stirring tool built into the lid of the vapor cap.
While you’re not going to want to pack your chamber very tightly at all with this one, the stirring tool is very useful as it allows you to heat the herb a lot more evenly.
When your bowl is toasted, the stirring tool can also be used to cash your AVB either into your AVB bowl or into the air if you’re out and about.
The Lotus Vaporizer is a vape of artisan quality with a phenomenal output and super simple modus operandi.
If you’re just starting out with vaping this may be a little too advanced for you, but once you’ve learned to use your Lotus Vape there will be no turning back.
I use my Lotus on the daily for both microdosing and longer sessions and find it refreshing to get away from the screens and buttons. Keep an eye out for the Lotus in the VapeFuse store!
