The FocusVape Premium Pro Portable Vaporizer User’s Product Review

The FocusVape Premium Pro portable pen style vaporizer is generating increasing interest within our VapeFuse community. It is largely due to the attractive pricing of the device with the included bubbler.

I thought I’d share my personal experience with using this particular vaporizer over the last few months. I hope my feedback will help anyone interested in getting one. Or if you already own one, hopefully, I can answer some questions you may have.

First Impression and Design

The device looks stylish and has an elegant design. It feels good in the hand, and to be honest it does FEEL like a good quality portable vaporizer (if you have owned a few, you know what I mean).

It is a typical pen style vaporizer with a digital display, that shows the temperature and the battery level.

Taking everything into account, I do like its design, it’s also packed very well coming across as a pretty sophisticated product.

Next, I’ll go into some more details about the features and how it affects the user experience of the vaporizer.

Temperature Control

You can set the temperature to either Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees when you first turn the vaporizer on.

FocusVape Premium Pro

The only time you need to set it again will be when you change the battery. It also ‘remembers’ your previous temperature settings. So when you turn it on, it will be set to the temperature you used for your last session.

The temperature range of 80 to 240 Celsius enables you to use this device with a huge variety of dry herbs.

Filtration Chamber and Mouthpiece

A unique part of the design is that it comes with a filtration chamber, containing a little ceramic ‘filter’ behind the screen.

Based on my experience, it does not seem to impact the vaporizing experience to any noticeable degree (positively or negatively).

Resin does build up on it though, filtering the vapor before it gets into your system through the glass mouthpiece.

It needs special attention to ensure you don’t drop it, though. It is easy to drop. I’ve already had two occasions when I accidently dropped it and I can only contribute it to my luck, that it is still intact in one piece.

Adjustable Airflow

I was curious how the adjustable airflow would work and if there would be noticeable difference between the 3 settings.

I have to admit that it works better than I thought in terms of being able to adjust the airflow. If you turn the strip to cover all 3 holes, you will hardly be able to draw, that’s how airtight the vaporizer is.

As you are turning it to uncover the holes, you can feel that more and more air flowing through the chamber.

The only initial challenge I had with it was that, for me the first level (one whole exposed) was already slightly too much airflow.

After some further experience with the vaporizer, I worked out that you can even leave half (or even quarter) of a hole open and further restrict the airflow. Leaving the last hole only half covered provides the perfect draw for me.

Overall, I am very impressed how well this airflow adjustment works on the FocusVape.

Bubbler

The big bonus with this product is that a bubbler is supplied in the kit you buy the vaporizer in. We published a more detailed post about vaporizer bubblers, that you can check out here.

A lot of people in our community love bubblers and I think the one with the FocusVape works very well.

It is easy to fit on the vaporizer, airtight and convenient to use. Make sure you don’t knock it over while the bubbler is on, as it breaks easily, and when it’s time, give it a nice clean.

Chamber

The FocusVape has a fair size ceramic heating chamber. I got optional dosing capsules with it to keep my chamber clean. The dosing capsules do take up a bit of a space with this model, however, they are still definitely worth using.

Battery

The battery is replaceable which I really like about this vaporizer. It takes a good long charge for the first time you plug it in, ‘conditioning the battery’ and then it lasts for about 6 full sessions on one charge.

focusvape-premium-pro-vaporizer-batteryThe little battery indicator is pretty accurate, as it is going down you can estimate how much more power is left in it.

It comes with a 5 pin micro USB charging cable, so you have a backup if you lose your standard charging cable.

focusvape-premium-pro-portable-vaporizer-on-chargerIt has a passthrough charging function, so you can use it while it’s charging. Having said that I have not tried it as I always prefer to use my portable vaporizers off charge for safety reasons.

Vapor Quality

I find the quality of the vapor produced by the FocusVape Premium Pro very good. Most especially when you use it with the bubbler.
The vapor is flavourful and feels very nice and clean. I often use the same herbs for 2 sessions. And even for the second go the vaporizer produces great quality smooth vapor.

Who is the FocusVape Pro For?

Being a well-designed quality device, I highly recommend this vaporizer to tradies and anyone on the tools. Also, due to its durability and USB battery charging, it is great for outdoor enthusiasts and campers as well. There are some lighter colours for the ladies as well, however, it weighs 180 grams (without the bubbler), so it is a bit of a weight in the purse.

Conclusion

After using the FocusVape Premium Pro vaporizer for many hours over a few months, I do recommend this device, most especially if you like bubblers. This unit comes with a bubbler in the box for a very good price, and I found it a pretty good and reliable portable vaporizer to use.
I am very impressed with it its ease of use and vapor quality and continue to use it regularly.
It is certainly excellent value and seems to be a sturdy vaporizer that will be serving you for a long time to come.
