The vaping experts over at VapeFuse.com recently picked up a copy of the ultra-premium Flowermate Swift Pro Portable Vape to review. 

Being a huge fan of the Flowermate line of portable vapes, I was super interested to see how successful their first delve into the premium portable vaporizer market is. 

The Flowermate Swift Pro’s packaging is still in the classic Flowermate style with the gold-piping and exquisite designs. 

With the Swift Pro, Flowermate have really gone all out on the packaging and kit – going as far to include filling tools, a top-shelf maintenance kit, a long Micro-USB charging cable, and more!

Funnily enough, the Swift Pro Portable Vape is the first portable in the Flowermate line that doesn’t come equipped with hybrid dry herb/concentrate vaping capabilities right out-of-the-box. 

If you’ve got a stainless steel liquid pad you can make do, but I recommend strictly using this vape for dry herb consumption, as it is optimized to produce tasty herbal vapor. 

Available in a bunch of colors, including black, blue, green, and red, the Flowermate Swift Pro is definitely one of the most colorful portables we’ve come across. 

It comes across awesome in the photos – its distinct matte scheme is super slick and feels comfortable in the hand.

It’s not an overly heavy portable vape, owing to the lack of removable battery, but you can still look for at least 45 minutes of continuous vapor off a single charge.

Flowermate’s Swift Pro is reminiscent of other ‘sidewinder’ vaporizers, the Storz & Bickel Crafty, the Boundless Tera, and even the X Vape FOG, which I recently compared it to in a review post.

I coined this term last year after a bunch of these ‘sidewinders’ hit the premium portable vaporizer market.

Their prevalence is largely owing to the uber-success of the Storz & Bickel line of portables, but it does offer great airflow and a simple maintenance solution.

The Flowermate Swift Pro’s chamber is deep enough to accommodate 0.3 grams of dried herb, with the ceramic heating element working in unison with the stainless steel chamber screen to generate a phenomenal full-convection vapor. 

What’s absolutely remarkable about the Flowermate Swift Pro Portable Vape in comparison to other vapes is the four interchangeable chamber walls that come equipped with the device. 

These removable rings, constructed from various materials, help to maintain a consistent temperature and can impart subtle flavors on your herbal blend. 

Constructed from borosilicate glass, bamboo, South American Palisander wood, and African Palisander wood, these chamber inserts offer an exotic variety of flavors and help to keep your session tasting great from start to finish. 

Flowermate really pulled one out of the hat with this one. Introducing interchangeable chamber walls opens their product up to a wider demographic that may be exclusive ‘glass vapers’ or something along those lines.

We sometimes hear that some budget-friendly portable vapes with ceramic and metal chambers aren’t up to scratch flavor-wise compared to say, a Storz & Bickel Crafty, but that’s a given. You generally have to pay a bit more for the top-shelf flavor! 

Each ring offers a slightly different experience, with the wooden rings imparting sweet, oaky flavors, while the quartz ring generates a super-pure herbal vapor that is as tasty as any I’ve been lucky enough to come across. 

Starting my first session with the South American Palisander Wood insert, I was definitely aware of the slight woody flavor that became more prevalent towards the end of the session. 

If you’ve ever smoked a doob through those bamboo tips you’ll know what I’m talking about. Mad flavor!

The Flowermate Swift Pro Portable Vape’s ultra-broad temperature range of 60°C (140°F) – 230°C (446°F) means you can really get the full flavor experience.

Starting your session at around 175°C (350°F) is a good idea as you can really get a handle on those initial terpenes and flavonoids.

This portable vape, in particular, is a big producer of vapor. From about 185°C (365°F) onwards you can expect massive draws of flavorsome herb vapor.

In terms of a flavor comparison, the Swift Pro is as good as the Hydrology9, Storz & Bickel Crafty, and the rest of the top-performing portable vapes, especially when vaping with the glass chamber ring. 

Removing these internal rings is as simple as screwing in a light bulb. Simply remove the cooling unit, insert the metal chamber tool into the ridge of the opening, and rotate until the screw pops out. 

From there you can switch it up between the wood and glass chamber rings to find a style that suits you. It is definitely good to experiment a bit as each ring has been known to work a little better with different types of herb. 

If you’re dealing with herb that’s slightly damp it’s going to be a good idea to go with the wooden rings. For perfectly cured flower, give the borosilicate glass chamber ring a try, it’s gonna blow you away!
