The VapeFuse HQ was blessed with a couple of Boundless Tech’s latest model portable vapes and we’ve been having an awesome few weeks of pushing them to the absolute limit!
One standout from the bunch that took me by surprise was the Boundless CFX vaporizer which kind of reminded me of a Storz & Bickel Mighty crossed with a TopBond Odin.

While the Boundless CFX isn’t new, the product has been on the market for a little while, Boundless is constantly updating their models based on customer feedback, which is awesome to see from a consumer perspective.
With a ceramic baking chamber and hybrid conduction and convection heating style, the Boundless CFX has been totally optimized for flavor and generates some of the most terpene-rich vapor I’ve come across. It is built with a fully isolated air path for quality vapor production.
Funnily enough, the Boundless CFX’s OLED display has garnered a lot more fame than its phenomenal tasting vapor, of which there is very little info about on the net.
Granted the display is super cool and almost reminiscent of an odometer in a high-end European car, but the flavor cannot be forgotten!
The large, 1.7 Inch TFT screen shows you the temperature, a 300 seconds session timer, and your battery level.
The device itself is made of hard food-grade plastic with a soft rubber-like exterior that assists with grip. For a vaporizer that works so well, it is relatively simple, comprising of only the OLED screen and three buttons.
How does the CFX compare to other Boundless vaporizers?
Looking at the Boundless Technology line, the Boundless CFX vaporizer is easily the standout performer.
While the Boundless Tera offers an awesome concentrate mode and works well through the water pipe, the flavor isn’t up there with the CFX.
The Boundless CFV is basically a less advanced version of the Boundless CFX. The vapor generated is dense and somewhat flavorsome, but like the Tera, it falls just short of that ultra-premium flavor category. If you are vaporizing concentrates just as much as dry herbs, the Boundless Tera might be a better vaporizer choice for you.

How to use the Boundless CFX vaporizer
It is recommended that you put your Boundless CFX on the charger before the first use. Once your battery is charged, you are ready to pack your dry herbs.
Now, one of this vaporizer’s cool features is most certainly its HUGE ceramic baking chamber with an embedded ceramic heating element.
This chamber can hold a whopping 0.8-grams of dried ground herb, which is basically almost as much dry herb as a Volcano Digit vaporizer can take on.
What is great about the CFX is that it will work brilliantly off of a half-packed chamber, which is less than we can say about similar vaporizers that require a hefty thumb-pack to even get a cloud blowing.
Press the power button 5 times to turn the vaporizer on. Set your desired temperature to suit your preference. The Boundless CFX vaporizer is featuring a full range temperature control between 100°F and 430°F or 37.8°C and 221.1°C.
The powerful 80 wats of power heat up the baking oven in no time. It takes less than 20 seconds and your CFX vaporizer is ready to vaporize your herbs.
The Boundless CFX vibrates when powered on and off and also when the set temperature is reached.
The session timer on the screen counts down the 300 second session. Once your session is over, the CFX slips into standby mode. Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds to start another vaping session. Easy as that.
We have been getting about 10 sessions on one charge before it has to go back on the charger.
Should you buy the Boundless CFX portable vaporizer?
If you’re in the market for a conduction and convection hybrid vaporizer that’s not going to leave your herb charred and near-combustion, the Boundless CFX is the perfect vape for you.
Aside from the usual array of cleaning and packing tools, the Boundless CFX comes equipped with a large stainless steel liquid pad with an organic cotton insert for eLiquid and concentrate.
As well as this, it also features dual charging ports, meaning you can use the wall charger for a quick charge or have the freedom of using the Micro-USB charging cable when you’re on the go!
The fast heat-up time and quality heating element and full-scale temperature control ensure great performance are an incredibly good value for the price you pay.
Compared to some of the other portable vapes in the ultra-premium category, the CFX is at a super affordable price point and the maintenance and know-how required to own and operate this bad boy are minimal.
