VapeFuse Review: Arizer Air II vs Crave Cloud

It’s that time of week again where we break down and compare some of our amazing portable vaporizers!

Vape comparisons are awesome as they allow you to see what features you’re getting and which ones you’re missing out on. I know when I bought my first vape I didn’t know where to start.

For this post, I’m going to giving you guys insight into the Arizer Air II and Crave Cloud premium portable vaporizers! I use both of these devices on the regular basis and am super impressed with both vapes.

The two are pretty similar in both size and makeup with both the Crave Cloud and Arizer Air II (pictured center) fitting snuggly in the palm and coming equipped with glass mouthpieces.

While the Air II is a little narrower than the Cloud, the aroma tube on top cannot be stored in the device, making the Crave portable a little more portable and easier to take on the go.

Not to worry though if you’re a portable vaper, with the Air II’s included carry pouch you’ll be set to take it off road!

The original Air is a little more similar to the Crave Cloud due to its analog interface, the Air and Air II are basically the same devices with the exception being that the new model is a little more user-friendly.

From the top, the Crave Cloud and Arizer Air II feature pretty similar mouthpiece styles.

The Air II’s are wider set which generally would account for an increased comparable airflow, but the Crave Cloud’s extraordinary number of air holes around the chamber means you can take huge draws!

Both of these devices produce some magnificent visible vapor, and the glass mouthpieces allow for super sweet cloud production. The Crave Cloud comes with two (2) 5omm glass pipes, the Arizer Air II  comes with a 70mm straight and 70mm tipped all-glass aroma tubes that are handmade in Canada.

In terms of flavor, the Arizer Air II just wins out due to its otherworldly convection vapor method. This method, which I’ve nicknamed ‘obscurant convection vaping’ involves obscuring the airway with herb and then pulling hot air through stainless steel chamber to generate a thick vapor.

The Arizer devices are unmatched in terms of vapor production and flavor, with the only exception being possibly the Storz & Bickel Crafty & Mighty, but the Crave Cloud is still a valid competitor, and over $100 cheaper!

The Crave Cloud’s ceramic chamber generates super sweet vapor, but as it loads from the bottom it’s marginally less economical than the Air II.

Air II vs Crave Cloud

With the Crave Cloud’s analog interface you can alternate between four set temperatures that range from 185°C (365°F) to 220°C (428°F). Starting low gets you super tasty vapor, with higher temps bringing clouds!

The Arizer Air II features full-spectrum temperature control that ranges from 50°C (122°F) to 220°C (428°F).

With the Air II’s function button, you can alternate between a bunch of settings, like session time, power-on delay and C/F switcher, that help you to craft your own unique vaping experience.

Air II vs Crave Cloud - batteries

Both devices come equipped with removable 18650 batteries that can be recharged and replaced to increase the life of the vaporizer itself.

These batteries are relatively inexpensive, and the purchase of a couple of batteries means you can go away for days at a time without having to worry about bringing along your charger or powerbank!

Air II vs Crave Cloud

I love the Arizer Air II for its exquisite design. It’s weighty for a device of its size, and the ingenious technology utilized throughout production means you’re going to be in for the best vaping experience of your life!

Aside from the plethora of unique accessories that come with the device, it comes backed by a lifetime warranty on the heating unit for additional piece of mind.

While the bottom-loading ceramic chamber gets a little warm, the ceramic on glass vapor path generates some amazing tasting vapor that’s sweet and pure without being too hot.
