Using a Smartphone App with Your Portable Vape!

Hey VapeFusers!

The portable vaping user experience is constantly evolving to include new ultra user-friendly features! One of the more recent of these is the inclusion of Bluetooth software to enable the use of a smartphone app!

While incorporating a smartphone app may seem a little like overkill for some, it’s actually ingenious as it removes the need for a digital display and ultimately helps to save battery life!

The most notable devices to be equipped with Bluetooth capabilities are the Storz & Bickel Crafty, DaVinci IQ, and PAX 3 portable vaporizers.

With the Bluetooth app, there are a number of functions you can carry out depending on the vaporizer in question. The DaVinci IQ, pictured above center, allows you to alternate the temperature and booster temp, create preset smart paths and even purchase accessories!

The programmable smart path creator is an awesome little feature that allows you to customize your IQ’s vaping experience to suit your preference.

Starting at a lower temperature allows you to take beautifully terpy hits of vapor and will in turn lengthen the session, if you’re just looking for a quick blast, try starting the session a bit higher and watch the clouds flow!

Notably the first device to come equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, the Storz & Bickel Crafty was the first portable offering from ultra-premium vape manufacturer Storz & Bickel, AKA the Volcano guys.

The Crafty’s counterpart, the Mighty, is a larger version that comes equipped with an OLED display, removing the need for a display.

With the Crafty’s smartphone application you can adjust the temperature, check out the quick-start guide, set booster temp and see how long your lifetime session has lasted for!

Lacking in a digital display, the Crafty requires the app to maintain functionality, however, if your phone is flat your device can be used on the temp you left it on, so not ideal but it will do in a pinch.

The X Max Starry, pictured above right, is super similar to the Crafty, but features on OLED display instead of the app connectivity. You can check out my full comparison of the two here.

Arguably the most impressive of the smartphone apps is that of the PAX 3. Although the device doesn’t impress nearly as much as the application, the app really is beautifully designed.

It gives you the ability to switch up between a number of vaping modes that are individually optimized for stealth, flavor, cloud production and more!

Like the Crave Air, the PAX 3 portable vape is equipped with an analog mode as well for fast-paced on the go use. If you’re out and about and have run out of battery you can just switch it up between the preset temps.

Vaping has come a long way in the past few years, and personally, I can’t wait to see what technology they’ll come up with next! One thing is for sure, VapeFuse will be here to keep you up to date!

What kind of new features would you guys like to see in a vaporizer? Leave a question in the comments section!
