Hey guys welcome back to another VapeFuse break-down video, I’m Matt and I’m here to bring you the latest in vaping news and reviews. Now, the vape I’ve decided to review this week has been on the market for quite a while and it’s pretty well known for its discreteness.
This is the PUFFiT X, it’s been seen on a bunch of social media pages for its unique style and it’s marketed as being the world’s first forced-air portable vape. This crafty little device fits into the palm of your hand and it’s discreet enough to fit into most handbags and jacket pockets. The design leads many to believe that the PUFFiT is a simple inhaler, but the device is actually quite complex, with the ability to customize your vaping experience to suit your style.
The PUFFiT features a one-hour rapid charge and comes with both USB and wall chargers. To charge the device simply remove the mouthpiece and insert the USB cable into the slot on the left-hand side. In the box, you’ll find a handy carrying case with room for the charger, vape and accessories. It also comes with four cleaning wipes and heat resistant silicone cap, three additional mouthpiece cap covers, four screens, filling and packing tools and a desk stand for filling in the charger.
The stainless steel chamber holds a room for 0.3 grams of broken-down dried herbs and it vapes via convection heating method. To open the PUFFiT, you simply rotate the silver cap clockwise and gently pull as the spring releases from the chamber. The device is easy to pack with the assisted packing and filling tools. It’s as easy as grinding your herbs, filling the funnel and packing it in.
The PUFFiT has eight pre-programmed temperature settings, that range from 150 to 220 degrees Celsius. The first four settings produce minimal vapor. So I usually aim to start a session on setting 5. The PUFFiT delivers cool, flavoursome clouds and packs a nice punch for vaping with the fan. Changing temps is as easy as removing the mouthpiece cover and rotating the dial till finding your desired vaping temperature. The device’s inbuilt-fan is also programmed via the mouthpiece dial, however, to change the speed the chamber cap must be held down before removing the magnetic cap over the mouthpiece.
The flashing red and green LED and whirring sound coming from the mouthpiece, indicates the fan is ready to be changed. While still holding the chamber down roll the wheel in either direction to either speed up or slow down the assisted draw function. This can be helpful if you’re suffering from emphysema or other respiratory problems and is pretty unique for a portable vaporizer.
To use the vape after setting your temperature and fan speed, remove the magnetic cap and hold down the chamber cap until the red LED starts flashing, when the light turns green, hold down the chamber cap again and you’re good to go. You generally get two good draws until the LED flicks to orange and the device needs to heat up again.
However, the speedy heating time means this isn’t an issue with the chamber heating up in less than 20 seconds even when on the highest temperature.
