Look, I don’t really have an answer to this one aside from saying that I’d never really thought about it. But it makes sense. The first time you pack the chamber, that first toke, the first exhale.
There really is something magical about a first session, right?
As long as you’ve burnt off your vaporizer prior to first use, there shouldn’t be any residual flavors present from the manufacturing process. With some vapes, like the Vapir Oxygen Mini pictured above, it was love at first sesh.
We recently copped the Hydrology9 Premium Portable Vaporizer which has been getting a thrashing lately, I can’t seem to put the thing down!
What makes the Hydrology9 so gosh darn impressive is its total modular nature. It comes apart like a water pipe almost and is the most versatile portable I’ve come across, making it a breeze to clean.
Looking like a cross between a lava lamp and a high-end salt and pepper grinder, the Hydrology9 impresses in and out of the box.
To kick-start your session you’ve got to unscrew the top of the mouthpiece to reveal the water chamber beneath. Take some good quality filtered water and fill the device up until 2/3 of the tank is full.
This is enough water to cool down the vapor, but not so much that you’ll be drawing water through the device.
Once you’ve reattached the top of the device and packed some herb into the bottom loading chamber, you just have to click the power button five times to activate the internal LED lights that indicate the heat setting.
There are five (5) preset temperature settings, but no actual temperature denominations have been given. It ranges between blue, yellow, orange, purple, and red, and will flash green when it’s ready.
Once you’ve packed your green and gotten the all clear from the LED indicators, put your lips to the glass piece like you would with a waterpipe and get toking!
In order to get the best vapor experience possible, make sure that you’re holding the device vertically upright and taking long slow draws as opposed to quick rompers.
As you can see, I’m pretty happy with the effect.
