CloudV F17 vs Arizer ArGo: Which One’s for You?

Hey VapeFusers!

Vaping technology has come so far in the past few years. In the past, you needed a device as large as the Arizer Extreme Q or even the Volcano Digit to generate some high-quality vapor.

These days, the same technology is being utilized but in a far smaller package.

Devices like the Storz & Bickel Crafty and the Arizer Air and Solo line of vaporizers paved the way for ultra-premium portable vapes to hit the market, with the last five years being arguably the most progressive in terms of portable vapes.

CloudV F17 vs Arizer ArGo

The Arizer ArGo and CloudV F17 are pocket-sized powerhouses that offer both total discreetness and amazing vapor quality.

CloudV’s premium portable has been on the market for a little while, while the Arizer ArGo only hit shelves a few months ago.

Arizer’s release of a third new portable in under 12 months was a huge surprise, but for many, the ArGo was just what they’d been waiting for.

All the power, quality, and versatility of an Arizer portable packed into a palm-sized package. Whether you’ve been looking at investing in an Arizer ArGo or a CloudV F17, or are simply interested in boosting your vape knowledge, this one is for you!

VapeFuse Review: CloudV F17 vs Arizer ArGo

These are two of my all-time favorite devices. I love the fact that you can just load the vape up, slide it into your pocket and forget about it.

Portability has met new bounds with these two, and it’s an awesome sign of the technology still to come! As you can see in the infographic above, there is a significant price difference between the vapes, but we’ll get to that in a bit.

CloudV F17 vs Arizer ArGo - mouthpieces

Starting from the top, the CloudV F17 and Arizer ArGo look nothing alike. The all-glass aroma tube that comes with the ArGo is unique to this device, meaning it won’t be compatible with the tube from your Arizer Air or Solo.

The ArGo’s vapor quality is definitely on par with the other two, however, and produces some of the purest vapor you’ll come across in a portable vape. While the F17 produces huge clouds of vapor, the flavor profile generated isn’t that different to any of CloudV’s other devices like the Phantom Premium.

The ArGo is about twice as wide as the F17 and is quite weighty comparatively. CloudV’s F17 is super lightweight and comes equipped with a stainless steel mouthpiece that connects magnetically to the chamber of the device.

CloudV F17 vs Arizer ArGo - chambers

Looking at the respective chambers, the ArGo has an embedded ceramic heating element that heats the stainless steel chamber to create a pure convection heating method to vaporize the herb blend.

In typical Arizer fashion, the ArGo is equipped with an all-glass aroma tube for packing your herbs. This tube, when inserted, sits directly adjacent to the heating element which in turn vaporizes the mix.

The F17 is more similar to a traditional herb vape and comes with an embedded stainless steel chamber for herb vaporization. It has a wide, narrow chamber that can be tricky to pack due to the magnetic sides which often stick to the packing tool.

CloudV F17 vs Arizer ArGo - digital displays

The CloudV F17 has a really unique display that is embedded in the function button. It displays current temp in Celcius/Fahrenheit as well as the battery level and is activated by pressing it in three times.

Arizer’s OLED display that they developed for the new line of portables is as sophisticated and functional as it gets. The display shows current temp, battery life indicator, and C/F output at all times, while the center button allows you to alternate between a bunch of unique settings.

With the push of a button, you can change the operating sound between low, medium and high and, depending on how long you like your session to last, the auto power off time can be adjusted anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes.

As a safety precaution, and in order to refrain from accidentally turning on the device, the ArGo has an included power on delay, ranging between 2, 4, 6 and 8 seconds.

CloudV F17 vs Arizer ArGo - charging and batteries

Another notable difference between the two stems from the battery. The CloudV F17 comes with a cool magnetic snap-on charging cable with a USB plug and comes with pass-through charging, however, its inbuilt battery limits its portability a little.

Like a lot of vapes today, the Arizer ArGo comes with a removable, replaceable Samsung battery for added portability.

This gives you the option to stock up on charged batteries and go away for weeks at a time without having to worry about running out of charge. However, the ArGo also offers pass-through charging should you run low.

CloudV’s answer to a premium portable is a pretty good contender. It offers a wide temperature range, full digital display, pass-through charging and has a decent battery life.

In terms of vapor production and quality, the F17 produces large clouds of vapor that taste great, yet the quality isn’t quite up as high as the ArGo or the Vapir Prima or any of the more elite portables.

Definitely an awesome vape for someone looking for a cool portable to go along with their desktop model, or for someone with a bit of cash saved up that’s looking to invest in their first portable.

So, Which One’s for Me?

While these are both awesome portable vaporizers, there are a number of notable differences that will help you to decide which of these to choose.

The main difference between the two is the quality of the vapor produced. Arizer perfected the convection vaping method years ago with the original Solo and Air, and the technology is still to be matched.

The full-convection vaping method generates some amazing vapor and requires almost zero maintenance aside from cleaning your aroma tube. This is the perfect device for a vaping connoisseur or someone that’s really into the flavor of their herbs.

The CloudV F17 is a great device for someone that’s been smoking herbs for a while and is looking for something healthier that’ll provide the same effect. This vape is perfect for beginners and vaping veterans alike!
